Muhammad Ashar Asghar was born in Karachi, Pakistan, on February 9, 1981, to Chaudhary Muhammad Asghar. He is the younger of two siblings, with an elder brother named Ahmar Asghar. The family relocated to Lahore, Pakistan, when Ashar was just six years old. They belong to a Sunni Muslim family.
Ashar pursued his education in the field of Computer Science, earning a Bachelor’s degree from the Canadian School of Management IGS, USA. He furthered his academic journey with a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Michigan International College. He also holds the esteemed title of being a Microsoft Certified Professional.

While none of his family members have connections to the entertainment industry, Ashar’s own journey into media commenced in 2001 when he assumed the role of an Assistant Director and Editor.
